Klaus Robatsch

Klaus is an accredited civil engineer and has a Master degree in Urban and Regional Planning obtained at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. He is currently Head of Road Safety at the Kuratorium für Verkehrssicherheit, Austrian Road Safety Board. He is also a lecturer at the Technical University of Vienna für Road Safety since 2000, and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna, since 2006. He chairs the national committee for “vulnerable road users” at the Austrian Association for Research on Road – Rail – Transport (FSV).

Klaus is an expert in new and innovative technologies in the field of road safety, such as connected and automated driving, intelligent transportation systems, artificial intelligence, infrastructure developments and cyber issues. He is also heavily involved in the application of new technologies for improving safety at home and in sports, e.g. smart homes, internet of things, digital prevention.
